2019: A New Year & New Objectuve

Following the dawn of the New Year - a time spent forming New Year’s Resolutions and resetting goals for the year - this seemed to be a fitting time to write Objectuve’s inaugural blog post. As the CEO and Founder of Objectuve, I would like to welcome you to what I view as a bright new year of possibilities. Our team at Objectuve believes anything is possible; as long as you believe in your vision, work diligently to achieve it and surround yourself with a motivated social network. Here on the Objectuve blog, just like in the Objectuve app, we’re going to be posting advice, research and tools to help you turn the year of possibilities into a year of powerful personal achievements.

Objectuve’s launch is one of my most significant personal achievements. Several years in the making, Objectuve was born from the desire to mesh one's own path toward personal achievement with the impact and power that comes from social encouragement.

“Humans are social beings, and we are happier, and better, when connected to others,” Paul Bloom.

In the era of social media, when we have more potential than ever to be connected to others, we’re inundated with posts, tweets, pins, etc. that are consume-once tidbits of information meant to be forgotten as soon as they’re absorbed. When were share our lives, notably our triumphs, we tend to share only the result, robbing our circle of friends, family, and loved ones of the excitement that comes from our journey on the way to that outcome. In that audience, it often creates a sense of envy and anxiousness, it causes us to question why we aren’t in those shoes. It drains and pulls on us when we ultimately should be happy for the one who has triumphed.

For the most part, we are constantly inching towards one or many goals. These goals could be a spiritual higher purpose, a multitude of personal health milestones, career progression, financial independence, you name it - But we rarely codify these - we fail to put the aim itself into physical existence, we seldom write our goals down. They exist in our hearts and minds and because of that, far too often we lose sight of what we originally sought. Before Objectuve we didn't have a platform that existed that truly allowed a user to both feel a sense of achievement but to help inspire and support that achievement in others.

My goal is to create an ecosystem that gives as many people as possible a platform for managed achievement, enabled and encouraged by communities of like-minded achievers.

With that in mind, I hope that through Objectuve you find a platform and community that helps you achieve your personal goals. Let me be the first to congratulate you on beginning your journey to goal achievement and to tell you that I believe you can crush it and become the best future you possible.

Cheers to the you of the future,

Joshua Lockhart
Founder & Goal-Crusher
